Planeta is a Sicilian wine company established in 1995. Planeta is not one but six ways of articulating the land in six different contexts. Such is the number of estates that produce their wine; boutique wineries each seeking, through careful research, to celebrate its locality. Ulmo at Sambuca di Sicilia (AG), Dispensa at Menfi (AG), Dorilli at Vittoria (RG), Buonivini at Noto (SR), Sciara Nuova on Etna at Castiglione di Sicilia (CT) and finally La Baronia at Capo Milazzo (ME) are the Planeta locations, a total surface area of vineyard of 364 hectares.

WINE DESCRIPTION: Ruby red colour with violet reflections. On the nose, typical varietal aromas of ripe plums, cocoa, wild fruits, and a flawless spiciness with traces of white smoke. On the palate, full and wide and of beautiful juiciness with very soft, well-integrated tannins and a fruity, finely spicy finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Light meat, Hearty late afternoon snack, vegetarian meals, Medium old cheese, Pizza/pasta/casseroles, risotto, steaks, burgers, pork chops, veal, meatloaf, oily fish, and barbecue.
