WINERY:
Planeta is a Sicilian wine company established in 1995. Planeta is not one but six ways of articulating the land in six different contexts. Such is the number of estates which produce their wine; boutique wineries each seeking, through careful research, to celebrate its locality. Ulmo at Sambuca di Sicilia (AG), Dispensa at Menfi (AG), Dorilli at Vittoria (RG), Buonivini at Noto (SR), Sciara Nuova on Etna at Castiglione di Sicilia (CT) and finally La Baronia at Capo Milazzo (ME) are the Planeta locations, a total surface area of vineyard of 364 hectares.

GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Moscato Bianco

WINE DESCRIPTION: Bright golden yellow, Full of dried apricots, mango, orange peel, medlar, dates, pistachio cream, and vanilla. Citrus marmalades. The fruity look is fused with the aroma of Darjeeling tea, flowers of mimosa and orange blossom, ginger, and sesame. A set that recalls all the perfume of Sicilian pastry. The grapes contribute to the extraordinary aromas of apricot, rose petals, papaya, and quince. Sweet and fleshy in the mouth, but also lively with citrus notes. It recalls nougat and candied ginger.
FOOD PAIRING: Wine made to match with the best sweets, and having been dried could possibly favour dried fruits as well as being enriched by fruits with a prominent acidic content.
